Switching power supplies

Switching power supplies with voltages from 12-48V.
These power supplies are very efficient and are ideal for supplying large loads such as motors, stepper motors, servo motors, pumps, etc.  They save space and are equipped with fans. Many types can be overloaded for a short time so that power peaks can also be supplied.

All power supplies are overvoltage protected, short-circuit proof and the output voltage can be adjusted with a small potentiometer.
The manufacturer Meanwell is the world's largest power supply manufacturer and is known for its quality and functional reliability.

A switching power supply, also known as a switched-mode power supply (SMPS), is an electronic power converter that changes the voltage level of an alternating current (AC) input to a different level of direct current (DC) output. The basic function of a switching power supply is to convert the input AC power into DC power with regulated voltage and current. This is accomplished by using a power switch that rapidly switches on and off at a high frequency, which generates a series of pulses. The pulses are then filtered and transformed to produce a smooth DC output voltage. Switching power supplies are widely used due to their high efficiency, compact size, and low cost compared to linear power supplies. They can be found in a wide range of applications, including computers, consumer electronics, and industrial equipment.

A switched power supply is an electronic device that converts AC (alternating current) voltage to DC (direct current) voltage with the use of a switching regulator. This type of power supply is known for its efficiency, compact size, and ability to regulate output voltage.

The basic working principle of a switched power supply involves rapidly switching a device, such as a transistor or an insulated gate bipolar transistor (IGBT), between its on and off states. This switching action converts the AC voltage into a pulsed DC voltage, which is then smoothed and regulated by filtering circuits to produce a stable DC output voltage.

Switched power supplies are commonly used in a variety of electronic devices, including computers, televisions, mobile phones, and many other electronic devices that require a regulated DC voltage for their operation. They are preferred over traditional linear power supplies because of their higher efficiency, smaller size, and the ability to adjust the output voltage as required.

Switched power supplies can be designed to operate with a wide range of input voltage levels, making them suitable for use in many different countries and power grids. Additionally, they can be designed to operate with high or low output power, making them suitable for use in applications requiring varying levels of power.

Overall, a switched power supply is a reliable, efficient, and compact device for converting AC voltage to regulated DC voltage, making it an essential component in many electronic devices.

About Rocketronics

Rocketronics was founded in 1999 as a family business by Louis Schreyer. As an engineer for microelectronics, I design hardware and also develop the software for it. We manufacture our products in-house on our own machines, and this for over 20 years now - made in Germany. In addition to the development and production, the testing of the products is also carried out here. We also manufacture the prototype construction and the test fixtures ourselves. We use lathes and milling machines for this, but we also use our 3D printers a lot. The CNC milling machines we build ourselves produce many small parts, e.g. for the housings of our controllers.

In addition to manufacturing controllers, we also trade in the necessary components. As a dealer we have a large stock of components for machine building and automation, which we offer in this store. Our suppliers are the original manufacturers, with us you buy tested branded goods.

We also consult you when it comes to choosing the right components. We have a lot of experience in building and operating CNC milling machines and lathes. We can help you if you have questions, be it about the control system, the choice of drives or in general about the construction of CNC milling machines and the conversion of lathes.

Our online store shows you all items available for immediate delivery, and allows you to shop securely with many payment methods and fast shipping. Data traffic is of course encrypted, payment is processed and secured by reputable service providers, and we offer a 30-day return policy
